Good evening to you then.

Been reading a lot about your CG "adventures" lately.
What's this "auxillary" ?

O , and a uniform ? :-) LOL.
Sounds great to me , could be something for the streetcam! No , dumb plan jos , don't go there!
If anybody would be taking their working outfit in their suitcase into the holidays, definitely the BOZONE again.

ENjoy your evening while I try to stay awake.
And maybe even get some work done.

Jos, the Coast Guard Auxiliary is a volunteer organzation (like I have the time for another volunteer organization...lol!) They are a "supplement" of sorts to the United States Coast Guard. There are about 35,000 Coast Guard Auxiliarists. We do boat patrols (help folks in trouble, report on anything unusual we see), help educate the public on boating safety (we offer a lot of boating classes to the public), do free vessel examinations (make sure folks have the right safety equipment aboard their vessel, etc.) and assist the U.S. Coast Guard when they request. Boy, you had to ask...this is sooo not for the cam thread! Oops!

Cynde,

Sorry I had to ask, if this gets you in any trouble with Jake , you just have to go back to Bonaire to apologize to him .
Or I could go in your place , if you can't find the time in your busy scedule.:-)

Jake : apoligies accepted , or do I have to come over to make them in person?
( like I would leave the country the upcoming period!! Don't think sooooooooo!)

Good morning ,Jos! and good evening, Cynde! Loving the pictures in the dark. Looks like a romantic sailboat with little lights on the mast. I would love to be there . I sure hope Jimmy and I can go for a sail when we go to the island in Sept. I'll wave to you as I go by.

Hi margarite,

Tha boat is a regular , every time nice to see it come by in the sunset.
I think waving is a good plan , but you better be sure to tell us in advance 'cause we might miss it ;-)

Bye Cynde,

suddenly it dawns on me ( dûh) , to me it is still Sunday as well . Sort of "extended version".
Thats what working nightshift is doing to your brain , makes you think it is allready the next day.
Ha , wait till wednesday/thursday , by that time I usually get totally mixed up with date and time.

Does the cam need cleaning or do I need Cappucino?
clean

Sheesh.....that post of the lighted sailboat inspired me to read up ( on this site) about the sailing options on the island. Think I may see about the Oscarina for a romantic trip for myself and my Hubby and the two other couples who (say) they are coming with us adventuring in Sept. Just can hardly wait.....

Time for me to say Niteey nite, JOs......Tomarrow I must fly very early to LaS Vegas. Not my favorite place.

Until we meet again......

I have a terriffic shot of a sailboat at sunset that I shot from the dock at the Black Durgon last week, but I can't seem to learn how to post it! It may be the same boat. One week is not not enough.......! Gail

Gail ,
let me try to help you :
check if the picture is saved as a jpg-file.
If so , and if the size is not above 50KB, you can post it as following:
type :\
type: image
type : {
type : name of picture
type: }

so that would make: \ image{boat}

( but lose te space between backslash and "image"

have fun.

Good morning all,
Wow, nice shot of the "Aqua Space" sailboat Jos.
Did you notice you were the only male BTer yesterday ?
I also loved the chubs school and the beautiful sunset.
The cams are definitely dark at this present time... Anyone up and at work on this side of the pond to have a coffee break with me ?
Wish you a bright monday morning.
