$8.40 a bottle... are you kidding me

"Tin Roof knocked it out of the ballpark last year…Dry and balanced, it features flavors of black cherries, currants, cola and licorice, with a rich streak of smoky oak"
-Wine Enthusiast

Vineyards / Tin Roof 2006 Merlot was produced from a blend of North coast and Central Coast Grape. Merlot thrives in these cool-climate regions, especially in moist alluvial soils where it develops the bright fruit and soft tannins that make the variety so appealing to premium wine lovers.

Winemaking / Boldly flavored, smoothly textured and unusually complex, Tin Roof wines are designed to please wine lovers seeking distinctive varietal character. Blended with small amount of Cabernet Sauvignon and Zinfandel, our 2006 Merlot was fermented in stainless steel tanks at warm temperatures to fully extract color, flavor and tannin, then aged in French and oak to soften and mature its lush fruit flavors.

Winemaker's notes / "Our 2006 Merlot offers ripe, luscious black cherry and plum fruit aromas and flavors characteristic of the Merlot variety, enhanced by hints of tobacco, herbal spice and chocolate. With smooth, supple tannins and a long, rich finish, it pairs with grilled red meats, herb-roasted chicken, pork chops, red-sauced pastas and flavorful hard cheeses." Melissa Bates, Winemaker

Bonus Wines:

Qupe Syrah Central Coast 2007 750 ml
Only $16.95 a bottle
Named by FOOD & WINE 'the best syrah under $20,' for the fourth year in a row. Qupe continues to amaze with a wine that is jammed with smoke and spice, licorice and black cherry, in an easy to appreciate package. Robert Parker's WINE ADVOCATE called it a 'knock-out bargain.' Who are we to disagree?

Dry Creek Valley Sauvignon Blanc

Only $17.94 a bottle
90 Points - Best Value The Wine News 89 Points- Wine Spectator Growing Season: The 2008 growing season was ideal. Warm, dry weather was in place for almost all of the summer months. As a result, we had one of our earliest harvest seasons on record. Sauvignon Blanc, in particular, thrived with good to excellent quality. WINEMAKEER COMMENTS: The 2008 Sauvignon Blanc is uniquely Dry Creek Valley. Distinctive for its wine spectrum of tropical fruit flavors, the wine also carries an excellent sense of acidity and balance. Flavors of peach, honeydew, and pear give this wine wonderful complexity and dimension. On the palate, floral elements burst forward creating a mouthwatering sensation. The finish is long and lingering providing a fresh, clean, and memorable drinking experience.

Ten Mile Red 2006 750 ml 750 ml

Only $11.80 a bottle
75% Petite Sirah, 15% Barbara, 8% Zinfandel, 2% Carignane. We're seeing more red blends from all over the world these days, and this dark garnet is one of the better ones we've run into. It delivers the kind of big, rich, earthy, toasty, tarry black fruit that you might expect from a wine that could legally be labeled as a Petite Sirah, and it has the depth and concentration to soak up 13 months worth of French and American oak (20% new). It's already drinking well, but is structured to develop and improve for three to five years and beyond, assuming, of course, that you have the will power and patience to keep your hands off of it right now.
