Check out the latest edition of Dive Training Magazine. On page 19 of the June 2009 issue is a short article on Bonaire becoming the first Caribbean island powered entirely by sustainable energy. Great bit of publicity for Bonaire. The issue is not yet on-line but you can watch for the on-line issues at http://www.dtmag.com/

unfortunately, there are reports in the news now that the company putting up the wind turbines has gone bankrupt.

I have been following a wind farm saga going on here at home and I have to admit that I never realized just how many downsides there can be also. Money is just one hurdle.

I guess nothing is ever as simple as it sometimes originally appears.
