Is there any volleyball on Bonaire? Does anyone know if the Divi has a net set up on the beach - it does have a beach, right?

Either way, when we're not diving, we play volleyball. Just curious.

Thanks a bunch!

Suzi

Plaza has a BBQ on the beach with live music every Tuesday at 6, during which there's some volleybal being played by whoever wants to play. The "court" is illuminated after sunset.

Bonaire Volleyball.

My cousin, Sondra Swanson and her husband, Brad, are missionaries with Trans World Radio on Bonaire. They played in the competitive volleyball league on the island. The courts are in the downtown stadium.

Also, TWR has outdoor volleyball courts at their activity center next to their main studio. I believe there are pick up games every Friday night. check with Brad for more vball info. bswanson@twr.org

To answer your original question. No,Divi does not have a volley ball net on their beach, indeed they have very little beach. Bonaire is an island for water people, not beach people.
Enjoy your stay. Mickey

I don't agree Mickey... It's for beach people as well, just not a lot of them at the same time :-). Donkey and Pink Beach, Plaza, Bongos, Sorobon, Andrea and some others are all fine places to lie down and soak up the sun.
