I see in the Reporter today that the foundation has been poured and estimated time frame for completion will be March 2011. As far as I'm concerned, can't come soon enough.
Hopefully there will be no delays.

Looks like the waste water from "hotel row" & oceanfront properties will be transported there for processing.
Now all we need is for construction to begin on the new sewer system!

The new sewage system Vince speaks of is a big boondoggle! Thousands of dollars were given to Dorsch Consultancy to propose a plan that is both unfeasible economically and environmentally on an island like this. The decision-makers should pay heed to the recommendations of Detlef Schwager, whose plan would cost far less, be sustainable ecologically, and take much less time to figure out and implement.

If the government is still following the Dorsch plan, there won't be a wider and more inclusive sewage system until 2099.

The Freewinds is still around, just not as much as during the summer.
