I've heard that Bonaire has received more rainfall than usual lately. If this is so, what's the mosquito situation been like near around town? The only time I've ever encountered a real mosquito problem in Bonaire was by the mangroves at Lac Bay.

I'll be arriving with my group of 10 this Saturday, and we'll be going out for dinner at the some of the sumptuous eateries around Kralendijk. If the mosquito situation is bad, I'd like everyone to be prepared. Forewarned is forearmed--with DEET!

Bonaire has had a good amount of rain. Bugs will be a problem. Sorry.

Robyn. Come well prepared. I am told it is exceptionally bad because of the rain.

Robyn: My advice would be to go forearmed.
And as further advice, I'd recommend that you bring mosquito handy wipe packets with you on the plane & apply 10 mins before landing. They seem to like to congregate at the airport terminal or could it possibly be they sense "fresh meat" arriving? Copious amounts of rain & mosquitoes go hand in hand.
