Can someone tell me if there is a local radio station on Bonaire which gives local news in English? Not a radio station with only religious programming. If there is a local station that gives one local news in English, can someone give me the name of the station, please? I have listened to Voz di Bonaire in the past but am afraid I remember very little Papiamento and even less Dutch. I am more interested in hearing about what is happening on Bonaire than in listening to only music or sermons. An Internet search hasn't really helped. Thank you very much.

In a word..no...If you need local news in English we have the Palu Redu system. It is more or less "the gossip tree" As for radio now and then you hear will some English broadcasts. Trans World Radio used to do the news on 800 am in the mornings. Will give them a call later..they did not answer their phone this morning.

i agree with Michael -- no local news that i know of in English ..TWR broadcasts world news ..not local...mega fm 101.1 broadcasts news in Engish from the BBC so that is world news as well .. i keep up by listening to the radio news in papiamentu, also reading the EXTRA which i think might have an online English translation .. most info is passed here via the Redu or also Bati Bleki --hitting the can ... don't ask me to explain that! !
