When leaving Bonaire and getting on your plane... If you buy water is TSA still taking the water , you buy the water after security and getting ready to board the plane ? Still checking bags as you board ? Thanks for your help

Once you are at the gate, the snack stand sells water ++. We took a few bottles with us last year...No problem.

We were there in July and asked TSA about this question. The answer was that if you have it in your hand, they take it. If you have it in a carry-on or purse, you can keep it.

tom & sheri, now that makes so much sense, doesn't it? if you can see it, it's bad...if it's out of sight, it's ok. government thinking at its best. remember, tsa is the same group of people who gave a nice banquet for themselves and gave out a "lifetime achievement award" to one of their members after they had been existence about a year.

When we flew home last November they were taking water and juice bottles purchased after going thru the security check. I even saw one guy drinking partial bottles of water confiscated because the power had gone down on the island for about 35 minutes, leaving the terminal with no A/C and a building full of sweating travellers.
