Does anyone have information on what happened this morning around 11:30 am? I was heading to the marina and was going to cut through the main shopping area and there were fire trucks all over the place and the road was closed. I could see smoke. We went through late today and my favorite restaurant was closed when it should have been open. I'm kind of concerned. Anyone know what happened?

There was a short article in the Extra from Saturday .... smoke came from Plazita and the fire brigade checked , no damage done ....

Thanks Brigitte! I appreciate the update. On Saturday morning, we saw them in Plazita working (changing lights - looked like normal pre-opening work). I'm relieved to have this confirmation. We love that place. The people are so nice there.
