My wife's wetsuit zipper failed the other day. While we were able to temporarily repair it, I'd like to have the whole assembly replaced. Does anyone know who might be able to do this?

I would imagine Bruce at Carib Inn link would be most likely. Give him a call or stop by and find out. Good luck

I have already checked with Bruce, he had no information. I'm looking at a place that does canvas/sails (they will have the big sewing machine needed). I've heard that there's one, but the description was on "Main Street" - does anyone know what they might have been referring to?

Well, I don't really know of coarse, but I think the real problem would be the zipper itself not the machine and skill do do the job.

Brian....the "main st" is the big street that goes north from downtown. It is on the Right and I believe it is marked very clearly. "Marlis sail and canvas" I believe. SOrry I don't have a pic.

That be the place LaDonna. If she can do it, I've had luck twice going there for repairs.

I'd ask the lady who does the mesh bags on the road just north of the Bistro.

Cool, she is very helpful and very competent, in my limited experience. The name did not ring a bell, sorry.

I googled her.....me so smart. She stitched up my wetsuit a few years ago and it held up for like 5 years (better than the Henderson Original stitching). Her hours are sporadic so you may need to check back a few times. She's located back toward downtown from Pasa Bon about maybe 1/2 mile (or more), blue fence, and on the same side of the street as Pasa Bon Pizza.

This eclectic store is the brainchild of German-born Marlis Seelos Schmid, who predominantly repairs boat sails. She also sells an eccentric mix of Kuna textiles and touristy knick-knacks from her shop, Marlis Sail & Canvas in Kralendijk.

She's not on island, but Chris Summers of Terrapin Wetsuits, based in New Braunfels,. Texas, can do pretty much anything from a custom suit to repairs, modifications, letting a suit out or taking it in, etc.. She's made all our suits for many years, and is a frequent guest at our cottage in Bonaire and loves it here, which tells you what kind of person she is.
