Greetings from the U.S. How is Tropical Depression Omar treating Bonaire today? Some news reports indicate flooding and mudslides today in the Netherlands Antillies and N. Venezuela. Any truth to those reports for Bonaire?

There was a ton of rain last night so flooding would not surprise me. The big thing is the wind and (especially) the waves. I would judge the surf as being at least 3ft to 6ft with, perhaps, a few eights. I expect most docks will take significant damage (I already am aware of a few that are either all gone or appear to have only some pilings left).

One of the dive ops also lost a boat and it is up right up against shore. The road south of town had some debris washed up on it (that was around lunch -- both north of salt pier and more south of white slave). There was an excavator clearing that early afternoon.
