Kevin,

How's the image and sound quality? Is there a lot of MPEG artifacting in the picture? And do you know if you have to pay multiple full subscription fees for multiple boxes, or do they have some sort of lead like TDS did?

And, most importantly, any sort of DVR functionality/possibility for programmable time shifting?

Jake

Kevin, thanks for posting, sounds like a winner, will check it out when I get on island in August. Been waiting to switch to see what Telbo would be doing, since I can't do anything till I get back on island, seems it is worth the wait now. :-)

Very similar to the line up of TDS. How much of that is basic cable?

Jake,
I know there's a discount for a second box, not sure what the deal is for a third. Since it's DSL, there's reserved bandwidth for the channel you are actually watching, and I don't think a third one fits. It's DVD quality compression, using a 12Mbps stream ... not sure of the actual codec. Only time I see artifacts is when there is interference on the line. Definitely superior to UTS in terms of artifacts. Their set-top box manufacturer offers one with an integrated DVR, and Telbo says they will offer that later this year.

Susan: The movies are segregated into a package, the sports channels are a package, and the foreign language networks are a part of a package.

Is the fox the news channel?

"The" fox? There's Fox News, American network Fox, Fox Latin America, and AXN, which is a combination of FX and American network Fox programming.

Hi all--Does any package from any company offer TBS? I am missing Seinfeld, Everybody Loves Raymond and Sex in the City (I know S/C is on Flamingo TV's ch. 18, but only 1 episode at 12am). If not TBS, are any of these shows in English on the Sony Channel? Thanks!

Everybody Love Raymond and Seinfeld are on Fox (on TDS) and Sony (MiTV and TDS). I can't find a listing for Sex in the City.

Kevin, In your list you mention several channels that are "(Latin America)"...are those channels in Spanish only or is that just a designation of the scheduling of the programming? Thanks for all your valuable info. Jane

They are slightly different versions of the networks. Different schedules, Spanish ads, and usually subtitled. www.tntla.com is an example for TNT ... if you Google around, you can find the Latin American website for all of the networks.
