Debbi there are 2 really good books I would recommend. The first one is "English/Paiamentu Dictionary - Papiamentu/Ingles Dikshonario" written by Betty Ratzlaff. The second one is "Papiamentu Grammar for English Speakers" also by the same author. I'm pretty sure you can find both of these books at the Bonaire Boekhandel when you get to Bonaire. Not sure of the cost. Hope this helps.

I also bought "Papiamentu Grammar for English Speakers" but I bought it in the grocerie store infront of Sand Dollar by Lover's Ice Cream. Have to start brushing up again ! The book is easy to use, nicely written.

I recommend the Papiamentu grammar book by R. Golio, though I am not familiar with the book by Betty Ratzlaff. It is available at Bonaire Boek Handel. They have several good dictionaries there too, but not cheap. I believe they'll set you back (starting at) $5o. Worth the investment if you're serious about learning the language!

Debbie, the book "Papiamentu Grammar for English Speakers" by Betty Ratzlaff is very good and it is currently on sale at the Sand Dollar Grocery for $16.00.
