In a companion thread, Susan Porter identified a survey for residents of Bonaire to voice their opinions of increasing the number of cruise ships coming to Bonaire. (http://www.bonairesurveys.com).

There was also an earlier post by Carole B about the survey that also asked for input from repeat visitors to Bonaire. Unfortunately, the thread title was IMO a little too innocuous (my apologies to Carole if my statement offends you, but I missed the importance and availability to repeat visitors of the survey until I saw Susan's posting).

This survey is an opportunity for nonresident repeat visitors who love Bonaire for what it is to have their say as well. Please take advantage of it to voice your opinions. Thanks. And thanks also to Susan, Carole B. and others who have taken the lead in pushing this issue to where we might make a difference.

I filled the cruise ship survey out a few days back but I don't see it at this link anymore. Am I missing something or have they pulled it already? Gee, that would be shocker.

Hi, Marcus...the initial thread is still there...just dropped off the current page due to "old age". Here is the link if you'd like to see it. Carole

Ok, but when I go to Bonaire Surveys.com, there's a survey for repeat visitors on cruise lines header but the survey you get when you click on the header is not the cruise ship survey is it?

Hi, Marcus..if you go to this link it will allow you to access four surveys....the cruise liners question has one survey for residents only and a separate one for repeat visitors to Bonaire...the other two surveys concern airline service and favorite dive sites. I answered the three that applied to me and my husband.

I'm not certain I understand which "header" you are referring to but I hope this helps!

I think the survey is a great forum for those of us, who are non-residents,who wish to express our views and concerns on the cruise ship issue and other issues.
Glad to fill them out.

Carole: Click on the link in your post #6218 and then click on the link for cruise ship tourism for repeat Bonaire visitors. What I'm getting when I do that is a survey, but it is not the cruise ship survey that I filled out a couple of days ago.

You are right, Marcus...it does appear to have different questions now (more specific ones). I guess I will complete the "new" repeat visitors survey again now. Thanks! Carole

Hi folks, perhaps I can shed some light? There has been only one repeat visitors survey which we launched on behalf of a client last Monday. There's only been one version, and it hasn't changed since launching.

On Thursday we launched the resident's survey (in English or Papiamentu). A sedula (ID number) is required on the English format to be sure that only residents fill out the survey; the ID number is kept confidential and will not be passed along to anyone for any other use.

I think perhaps the confusion came in when the link was given to Bonairesurveys.com, which is the portal for ALL survey links that NetTech is running for our customers and which are open to the public.

If you need additional information about the survey site, visit http://www.bonaireinsider.com/index.php/bonaireinsider/nettech_launches_new_product_online_surveys_at_bonaire_surveyscom/

We'll be announcing new public surveys as they are made available on the Insider. If you wish to be informed when these occur, you can sign up for the free Insider email alerts by going to www.bonaireinsider.com/subscribe.html

Hope this helps a bit.

Susan

Susan, thank you so much for clarifying everything for us. Now we know what a "sedula" is, as well! Hope lots of folks (residents and non residents) respond to and participate in the survey and the results will be helpful for the "good" of Bonaire and her people and for her visitors. Ayo.
