Does the Slingbox work well in Bonaire?

What speeds do you have the it works on?

On it's website, it recommends a service faster than 250 kilo BYtes per second but not sure how many bits.

When setting it up for remote viewing on your laptop, anything different since it's the carribbean?

Yes, it appears to be working well. Jake can probably chime in here with more technical details when he's back from vacation, but I have a slingbox installed at my Dad's in Chicago (I think he's somewhere either 256 KB or higher); I have a 100MB connection down here (well, it's supposed to be). It appears to work fine on both my laptop and desktop, and I just had my laptop in the BVIs, and it worked fine there, too, as long as I had a decent connection. Susan

Susan, I suspect you mean a 1MBps connection? :-)

KJ - no changes in settings for viewing in the Caribbean, just make sure you have a fast enough connection. I find that 350Kbps and up works fine. Below that it's rather chunky.

I'm not a computer person so much but when you write 350 Kbps, you mean kilo BITS per second, right?

Telbo or Flamingo?

Your help is greatly appreciated.

thanks,
kris
