Hi All!
We will be moving to Bonaire in August.
As I will still be doing some IT work for companies the Netherlands, I will need reliable and not to slow (>= 128 kb/s) internet access. I dont really need TV or a landline telephone, but if one of them is necessary for Cable-internet or ADSL, thats OK. Any recommendations? Are there any WIMAX initiatives on the island?
Thanx, Frank

If you need 24/7 connection, than best to have both Telbo and Flamingo (we have wireless from both) ... normally one of them will be working, we have had only once the situation that both were off

Mmm... I am afraid 2 connection will be a bit beyond my budget. If you had to choose, what would you prefer (price / performance / reliabilty-wise)

They both have their bad weeks ... that is the problem. For me the Flamingo wireless works a little better I think.... but I have only experience with the wireless connections and before that with the telephone, but forget that one, much too expensive

Flamingo TV Wireless, Brigitte? I had not heard that they had deployed that yet...

Jake

I am not very technical, but it comes in with the cable TV, you have a router and from there the signal goes to our different computers ... or the guests laptop ..... works great for us ...

Flamingo will soon be testing their Fiber Optic in some areas. I use the providers now and find Flamingo a bit more reliable.

Thanx for the info! I will ask Flamingo for more information about the connection. I plan to install a wireless router on the modem. The model they are offering on their website is the same we use here in NL.
