Special team established for burglary

KRALENDIJK – In connection with the continued increase of burglary, the management team of the police corps in Bonaire has established a special team on January 8th to investigate these cases. The police have already collected sufficient evidence, so more arrests will take place in the next days.

The filed complaints were analyzed and a plan was drawn up to tackle this problem. The team has arrested five persons up till now. These persons are suspected of burglary in houses in Republiek, Kaminda Lagoen, Playa Pabou, Antriol, and in some hotels. The youngest suspect is 26 years of age and the oldest is 62.

The police ask everybody that knows about a burglary or robbery, to please call the police via 911.

Lets hope that these people get what they deserve (exportation?)& local responsible citizens can and do assist the police!

Hi Kim...Nearest jail (to my knowledge) is on Curacao!

There is a jail by the police station in Kralendijk. The prison is on Curacao (and another in Sint Maarten).
