I read in the Bonaire Reporter that Sanikolas and his group will be arriving from Spain this Saturday. If anyone is out and about, pictures of Sanikolas would be wonderful:-)

Kelly, I think so. But in the BR they are calling him Sanikolas...in the www.bonaireinsider.com they call him Sinterklass.

Hi Ladies. 'Sinterklaas' is Dutch for St. Nicholas, 'Sanikolas' is Papiamentu. I will try to get some pics on Saturday!

Al, thanks for clearing that up! I had heard of Sinterklaas, but the Sanikolas had me scratching my head. Cool that is Papiamentu:-) And thanks in advance for any pics:-)

BTW, what about that pic on the cover of the BR this last week (the one of the cruise ship). Was that photoshoped do you think or real?

Cyn,

Looks real to me, that sucker was huge!

Kelly,

The bananaquits seem to enjoy it more than the hummingbirds, but that's nice too!

Hope to see both of you soon!
Alex

Al, it is so huge that's why I thought it surley must have been photoshoped! It looks like a bad TV movie title:

"Cruise Ship Eats Kralendijke" lol!

That was real, I remember when the Queen Mary 2 visited. You could see it from ChatNBrowse.

Al, thanks for the pic:-)

Susan, great pictures! All I can say though, is Sanikolas must have ROASTED in that beard, hat, and robe, and the Zwarte Pieten as well with all the make-up! It really looked like folks enjoyed themselves:-) Thanks for sharing:-)
