I too quickly deleted an e-mail I recieved about this. Where on the Island will they build?

Are they advertising pre-sales of the condos?

Cheers,

Melissa

It is planned for North of town on the old Sunset Beach property.

Hi Melissa. You may want to check out Divi's web site directly http://www.diviresorts.com/divi_internet.asp

As of yet no information on any condo pre sales nor any info as to whether or not they'll be ocean front or ocean view. I suspect the latter.

How are things on St C? Haven't been back there in well over 15 years & remember when Brett G. used to own VI Divers.. I was an owner at Granada Del Mar & must have made well over 300 dives at Cane Bay. A lot of nice memories on St C!!

As a Divi timeshare owner for 20yrs, I too am anxious to hear more about the new "all-inclusive" at the former site of Sunset Beach.
When we were on Bonaire this summer, there was "talk" about it.
I recieved an e-mail about it from Bonaire E-Z news too.
I have the same questions, Melissa.
Divi other properties are first class and I am happy to see that Divi is doing something with the property.
I wonder if it will be complete by '07-08' or will that be "island" time.
I think Divi has the means to do it right!
Let's hope it works out for everyone.

Hello, again,

If you've dived/div/dove St. Croix in the past, I am sad to say, the reef is not the same. We were hit very hard by last year's bleaching, and more than 50% of the coral has died. I don't even like to dive much anymore, tho' I am photo-monitoring the event and results.

The Divi condos are to be view, not warerfront, that's for the rather huge hotel, 235 rooms(?) Sunset Beach did have a fair sized property.

I am interested in maybe having one, we'll see, I just need to find some money to buy one, how strange(haha)

St Croix is growing slowly, one new hotel/casino complex on 500 acres(1200 hectares?) is supposed to start soon; being built by a wealthy Indian Tribe who has such businesses in the States. But then every time the Island starts developing, something happens like Hurricane Hugo, which totally destroyed the whole place, and pffft, back to obscurity.

Other than the ease of being an American living on American soil, I like how slowly this island is growing. Pretty place with diverse scenery, and lately tons of rain.

OK, Cheers, everyone!

Melissa

Good luck Melissa & I hope things work out for you. Yes, St C has some wonderful above sea topography. So sorry to hear about the coral bleaching!

I knew St C very well back in the 80's but after selling decided we wanted to travel around the Carib & visit other destinations (we were always going to St Croix). My last stop on St C after I attended the real estate closing was on the beach at the Buccaneer. Nice spot..

Well we did eventually travel through out the Caribbean & for a variety of reasons have now focused on Bonaire as our future "away from home" destination.
