Anyone has problem with Flamingo TV? We missed 9 channels since last Friday, among the missing are ABC, NBC and CBS.

Talked to them today and got the standard answer... "We're working on it."

they should give their excuses a number. that way when you call they can just say "number one" which would mean "we're working on it"...or "number eight"..."sorry, power is out..not our fault"...things like that

Many years ago my father had a card of "standard excuses", each with a number and the suggestion was to just tell people the number of the excuse.

Number 24 (and the last one on the) was "I just don't give a damn!".

Makes one wonder whether the first 23 excuses were really even needed when #24 was usually the only real excuse.

when i worked as a paramedic at a marine park we'd have employees coming in whining about little stuff ("my feet hurt, i need to go home", "i have a headache, i need to go home", "it's sunny, i might get a sunburn, i need to go home"....catching a pattern here?). anyway, once in a while we'd have had enough of them and i'd pick up the phone and say "hold on right there, i'll call the department that cares". then i'd look at the directory, look back at them, and say "hey, there isn't one...now get back to work". but we also had standard treatments for things too. minor cuts and scrapes got treatment #1 (peroxide, bacitracin, bandaid). stuff like that.

Don't you folks have a satellite TV option on Bonaire, like Dish or DirecTV? I'd think that would be more fun in this situation...
