Thanks.

Marji,

I recommend writing out "Netherlands Antilles", or if you must use an abbreviation, be sure to use "AN"--NA is Namibia. You wouldn't believe where some of the packages sent to me have gone before they made it here!

Alex

Also put Dutch Caribbean in the last line

If you're ordering something that insists on a zip code (like on-line shopping), try entering all 00000's. Like the others have stated, try to get these words in:
Kralendijk (as the city name)
Bonaire (as the state/province name)
Netherlands Antilles (AN) (as the country name)
(Dutch Caribbean)--never hurts to have this, or at least the word CARIBBEAN somewhere.

'Kralendijk' if the recipient lives in K not Rincon, etc.???

Yes. She has to worry about the mail/pkg getting to the right island-once it's here, it'll get to where it needs to if it has a name & street address. Our neighborhoods have "theme" road names-like women's names in Antriol, vegetable names in Rincon, gems in Republiek, Indian names in Noord Salinja, Dutch city names in Hato, etc. Kralendijk is a rather unique name, and I've found that express mail co. (fedex, etc) use "Kralendijk" as an indicator, as well as AN for Netherlands Antilles.

Be careful about using the words "Netherlands" in the address. I have always suggested Dutch West Indies and neve had a problem.

I work for the USPS, at least until next week anyway, and I always address my letters and pkgs, with the last line after
Person
E.E.G. Blvd # X
Belnam
Bonaire, N.A.
(Southern Carribean)
I think this helps so it is not confused with Puerto Rico and the other American islands that get their mail thru the USPS, the post offices carribean division.
Canadian Post handles the mail for Bonaire( go figure ?) So putting that on the mail directs it better. This makes sense to me. Seems to help.
