Has anyone had problems with MCB misplacing funds or screwing up balances? Any problems with online balances or banking?

I had a few errors at MCB but they were always rectified promptly and professionally. I trust and have faith in this bank.

Hi Carl, I do business with MCB and have had no problems. I also use their on line services for obvious reasons being here in the states as well.

Hi Carl.

I've also had some debit/balance errors, but as Tish said, they were corrected promptly. I also keep tabs on my accounts on-line and this helps to find any errors quickly (before waiting for your statement).

Thanks for your input. I've had the online feature since November, and strangely paper statements have stopped coming, as have receipts for wire transfers, and the account appears to have been reset at zero, so the Oct 31 balance has vanished and the online current balance only shows November 1 on, causing panic and distress.

Hello Everyone-

My Husband and I have a bank account at MCB. We just started building our home and were planning on using the online banking system to pay the contractor and others. We were told that because we are not residents we cannot use online banking and must use a "FAXCOM" agreement. Any comments on this??

What is a "faxcom" agreement? (Hope not a dumb question?) Who told you this about MCB on-line / as far as I knew, this is a service to any MCB account holders.

Teresa, If you scroll up the thread you will see that at least one of those posting about using online banking lives in the US. So I suspect you were misinformed.
Ask somebody else at MCB.
If you really cannot use online banking, maybe it's a distinction between having a dollar account and having a guilder account. I seem to recall that only residents can have a guilder account.

Hi Teresa,

I just opened an account at MCB when I was in Bonaire last week, and was told it would be no problem for online account access provided the account was in US dollars. I did not specifically ask about bill payment however, I should have. The customer services rep I dealt with was Joyceline Finies-Davelaar. (joyceline.finies@mcbbonaire.com). Let us know what you find out.

Hi Annette,
A faxcom aggreement is a fax aggreement so that we can authorize MCB to transfer money from our account at MCB to another account at MCB, such as our contractor.

Hello Tish and Jim,

I have been speaking with Joyceline at MCB and she is the one who informed me that we could not do online banking because we have a nonresident account in USD. She told me that we can look at our account but that we can't transfer money or any other banking services online. I will be in Bonaire the last week of March and will definitely be visiting Joyceline.
I will gladly share any info that I receive.
