What are the cell phone options on Bonaire?

We will be there for a week in February. Someone suggested getting a card for making local calls and a card for international calls back to the USA, that could be put into our phone. Clearly, I don't what I'm talking about, can anyone help me?

Thanks.

Jay, you should check with Michael Gaynor at Chat-n-Browse. He will rent you a cell phone with prepaid minutes. All very easy, quick and painless. And good prices, too!

Any questions about anything... ask Michael. He's the island go-to guy. ;)

jay, kelly is right (as always)...see michael at chat-n-browse and get a phone and phone card for the week. and avoid the blue phones like they were poison...i've heard that if you just walk within 10 feet of them they suck money out of your wallet and put charges on your credit card.

Thanks for the phone input. Where do I find Chat-N-Browse?
If I promise never to walk through the shaddow of a blue phone, can somebody tell me what what the story is behind the dreaded blue phone?

Chat-N-Browse is by Sand Dollar Grocery at the Rotary, north of town. Michael Gaynor there is terrific.

i think the rates for the blue phones are something like $5-10/minute for a call to the states. calling cards on prepaid cells are infinitely cheaper.

chat-n-browse is north of town, north of the rotary, on the west side of the road, in the same building at sand dollar grocery and the ice cream store.
