We appreciate the opportunity to express our opinion in the BR survey. We applaud and commend their putting it online so those off-island can participate.

But perhaps I misunderstand: is it possible to submit our completed survey via the Internet or do we have to print it out and mail it in? If the latter is the case, is there any hope mailed in surveys will reach the analysts in time to be included in the survey?

We are very interested in the project. It is a most hopeful sign that all perspectives are being considered in the future of Bonaire. It is a project to be supported.

We do hope someone can give us (and others wishing to participate) a prompt, definitive answer.

We are going to copy the form into Microsoft Word, complete it (using the highlight tool and typed in responses in Word) and then attach it to an e-mail to the Reporter at homepage@bonairereporter.com.

I have completed and sent via an e-mail attachment my survey.

I wonder if, perhaps by posting this topic on additional BT threads, we could make more BTers aware of this most important opportunity to share our thoughts on the future of Bonaire? After all, this is a clear-cut case where we are being asked to express our opinion. No fear of being regarded as "outsiders sticking their noses in local matters" this time.

Darlene, you are much more experienced on BT than I. Perhaps you know how to pose the question of expanding awareness of the survey to the moderators.

Maybe at some point in time the Reporter will make the results of the survey public.

Regardless, the survey is a unique and significant opportunity for all who have an interest in Bonaire's future.

I'm sure they will at least make an article or 2 from the survey. They've been running a multiple part series on Bonaire and growth, so this might be an extension of those articles.

I also feel they might have more work than they expected in the survey. The couple of times I've been involved in surveys, especially ones with blanks for written comments - the results are interesting, but hard to put into a report.

I completed mine last night and attached it to an email. I had to copy the survey and place it into Word as a document and then played around with the the responses with highlighting and underlying them. Saved it and attached it to the email to George.

I'm sure there was an "easier" way to do that but it worked for me, I hope! Carole
