There was a big fund raising effort this past week on Bonaire to raise money for the tsunami victims and survivors in the Indo-Pacific, including an all day event at the Wilhelmina Plein downtown on Saturday.

Nearly NAF 55,000 was raised (over US$30,000). The fund raising effort is still on-going, with money being collected at churches and schools, among other locations. I understand that all this money is being donated to the International Red Cross for Tsunami aid.

One part of the fund raiser was a raffle, but many raffle ticket purchasers did not hang around all day Saturday at the Wilhelmina Plein to see their numbers pulled and then to collect their prizes.

So, if you were at the Wilhelmina Plein on Saturday, and bought raffle tickets, and want to know if you won anything, look at:

Any raffle prizes unclaimed by Sunday the 23rd of January will be auctioned off to raise more money.

I'm just the messenger. :-)

The folks that put all this together are real heroes. That is an amazing amount of money to raise with one week's notice here on Bonaire.

As part of the fund raising there was a raffle held, and many prizes were unclaimed. These will be auctioned to the highest bidder. Here you can find the to be auctioned prizes and how to place a bid. http://www.infobonaire.com/tsunamihelp/

Have fun, keep in mind when you want to visit, these prices are up for grabs, serving a great cause!

Sebastiaan, I deleted your duplicate posts. It is a good cause, but you still can't spam the board with it. We will leave this one here. Please don't put any more duplicate threads up.

Thanks.
