I might need to have my boat towed into the marina if worse comes to REALLY worse. I see on the webcams that the breeze seems to be very light lately.

I've spent a total of more than a year in Bonaire, and remember it being WINDY all the time, twenty -thirty mph every day. Are the cams just on the ground behind a building??

Anyone know if the wind has quit?

From a windsurfing perspective we have not had decent sailing weather for about 8 weeks. The winds were very light last week but it's blowing nicely in town. Down in Sorobon NADA.

Really wierd weather a lot of places. Here in the Virgin Islands we're bracing for a huge cloud of Sahara dust on it's way across the Atlantic.

Try http://www.wunderground.com/global/stations/78990.html . That is the weather site at Flamingo Airport and has the 'open area' land wind; the webcam wind is taken in a sheltered site and is not representative of wind on the east side of Bonaire or over the Caribbean. You will have more wind than the webcam site shows.

Hi, Silvia, Glen and everyone else.

Hooray, the mechanic was actually working on the wiring harness today, and will finish up in the morning. Perhaps that engine will reliably start in the future.

But Volvo only sent one set of parts, so I await the bits for the other engine.

It'll be windy for sure tomorrow and tomorrow night, with TD #2 going south of us "up" here in the Virgin Islands.

If Volvo had sent everything I needed, I'd pack up and head outSaturday, owell! We'll see when I can get away. I'm sure looking foreward to paddling around in front of the UW cam, and seeing all my friends on Bonaire!
