Hi everyone. We have been having problems getting a prescription diet for our diabetic cat. We have tried dealing with local vets, with vets and distributors in Curacao and San Juan, and with the manufacturers (Purina) in the states, with no success so far. Does anyone know of a regular container from the states to Bonaire (every 6 months or so) that we could get a small shipment on (six 6lb bags)? We could then have a friend in the states buy the food and mail it to Miami or wherever. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Susan.

I thought I changed the subject on this post but apparently it didn't work. Help? Susan.

Susan, it's only possible to change the subject of a tread when you are in the preview screen. After the post has been made you can't change the name anymore.

Susan,
We have shipments coming from the states on an irregular basis but it might be often enough to help with your problem. We usually arrange something about 4 times per year. Our next shipment will probably leave Miami late April/early May.

Linda

Thanks so much Linda, how would we get the food into your shipment? and when would you expect it to arrive? Thanks, Susan.

If you have an on-line source, you can order and have it shipped to the Miami based consolidators, or have your friend do the shopping and shipping to Miami. The ship takes 1 week to get here from Miami. I usually plan 2-3 weeks to do all my shopping beforehand. Send us your email address and we'll get in touch with you when we have a shipment date scheduled.

We make up our own commercial invoice for everything in our shipment for processing through customs. You end up paying your volume portion of the shipping, plus NAOB and duty if applicable. I don't know about duties on catfood.
