There are 2 very competent dentists that I know of on the island Dr Hagens and Dr Van Egmond. I have been in both offices and assure you that they are well equiped and certainly meet the standards of care within the US and Europe. They are also VERY professional and personable. It is quite remarkable to find these resources in such an environment.

Both individuals speak EXCELLENT American and have access to resources off island when they feel appropriate. Actually for dentists they are extremely nice people.

My basis for evaluation??
1. I originate from the UK
2. Diplomate American Board of Prosthodontics

The fees are I assure you dramatically less than the US or Europe. The Bonaireans are fortunate to have this resource.

Hello Brian,

I had an emergency and BT buddy Michael Gaynor recommended Dr. Chorino. It was 50.00 USD to glue the crown back on. I was seen that day but was in his cold office for over two hours waiting my turn. I think Ellen goes to him as well. I tried to get into Mimi Von Egmond but she was booked that day.

I also found an MD, Dr. Schrader and pay 20.00 USD for visits. He is great...

AND, Maggie's Boston based Comm. Ave orthodontist comes here every 8 weeks so she can see her either place. She has been coming to the ABC's and Sint Maarten for 16 years. Cool eh??
