Only 2 days left till I get to Bonaire. Besides diving, I am really interested in local culture, and people. I have never been a big fan of tourist locations, as I prefer to head off the beaten track as much as possible. What can I expect in this regard?

Get the map and just drive around the island. Especially go to Rincon (much more traditional town than Kralendijk) Drive out to Lac Cai and go to the Sunday afternoon shindig (music, food, good fun). Eat at local "snacks" - see if you can find Maiky Snack (way off the beaten track, but worth tracking down).
