Does anyone know where to find supplements such as Sam-e and Siberian Ginseng either on Bonaire or Curacao, or on-line with reasonable shipping to Bonaire?
Also, can anyone tell us if these gnats are seasonal or year-round?!!!!
Thanks, Susan and Alex.

If either of you are a tasty snack for gnats, bring insect repellant, they have got me in August and October! You can buy it on island but my worst experience was when I was waiting to collect my luggage off the aircraft! I carry a little roll-on in my hand luggage now. They are not a serious problem unless you are like me and attract all the gnats on Bonaire!

They are seasonal. As soon as the daily rain shower stops and we dry up, they will die back.

You could try either of the Botica's in Antriol or Kralendijk. They have some supplements but not a huge selection. In Curacao, you have some US sized supermarkets as well as large drugstores so you might have better luck there. I think I saw Sam-e when I was there in June. If you think you might head over to Curacao, I can ask my "daughter" Aisha where you should go. She and her husband live and work on Curacao.

That said, I usually buy hard-to-find or never-here items twice a year in the states and hand carry or have them shipped down via Amcar with lots of other stuff. I have not found a place that ships internationally for vitamins, etc.

Thanks very much, Linda. We had no luck at either of the Boticas so Curacao sounds good (or the kindness of relatives in the states :-) ). Glad to hear the gnats will die back eventually...
