Are the roads in good condition to rollerblade on the island? Does anyone rent blades?

I didn't see any for rent. I would think the roads would not be good for the rollerblades. Lots of small rocks, shells,coral....

There have been a few folks tooling around the steets this past week. I almost ran a few down who were not paying attention to the traffic flow. It was not intentional but did sort of unnerve me a bit.

So the ultimate traffic nightmare would be... donkeys on rollerblades? :)

Seriously, I don't completely agree with Ida. Yes, the roads can be littered with small rocks and sand, which is bad for the wheels of course, but on the other hand... most streets have asphalt and the ground is hard. I guess the (low)volume of traffic is a plus too, although as Michael has illustrated, when a car does come by, you have to be vewwy vewwy cawefull...

I can see it now...the donkeys on rollerblades...what a sight! Very funny, indeed. Carole

Donkeys, and rollerblades, and wabbits...oh my! I think I've seen a few rollerblading donkeys in North Carolina, but not too many since NC's elephant country.

I think there might be a few on the streets in DC, as well, but we won't go there....Linda and I will leave the room for the rest of the discussion! Carole

Leave roller blades at home, we are avid rollerbladers and there aren't enough areas smooth enough to bother with trying them....go mountain biking!
