Word to the wise.. I just returned from my 5th trip to Bonaire..

Total Car Rental used decepti ve trade practices to dupe us into paying $70 for extra insurance.

Shame on us. We asked the cost and were misquoted.

Dont use Total Rental Car..!

Total Car rental and Yachtclub have the same owners.
So again, we hope that "the wise" know there are always 2 sides to a story

I'm sure we would all be interested to hear, as Paul Harvey would say, "the rest of the story". Anyone feel free to enlighten us.

Follow up... Michelle is right.. it was an act of CRR.

Good news.. the management of TCR contacted me and they have resolved the matter to my satisfaction. It seems I should have put more effort into "escalating" the problem while I was still on the island.

All is well that ends well, we would recommend them in the future...just make sure you are clear on the terms up front (of course!)

Sometimes it is best to settle a problem before leaving the island. The folks from Yauct Club/Total car rental are above any tickery and I was surprised someone had a problem, but as the saying goes, all's well that ends well..too bad Total had to suffer some bad PR...

I have used Total Carrental and had nothing but positive experience.

My trip this year was booked by a company using Telerin and I can not seem to contact them via e-mail. As I am arriving in 17 days, unsure of where to pick up my 5 rentals, I am starting to wish I had insisted on TCR.

Regarding my earlier post, it seems like the
e-mail address for Telrin which I got off of another thread on this board was incorrect.

Have sent another e-mail hoping to connect with them. If I have no luck this time, I will be contacting TCR.
