Did anyone ever experience this Chinese made SUV AB Rental is offering?
Any interesting reports about it?
Does it do the job [Getting from A to B with decent air-conditioning / going through the park / not falling apart / etc.]?
Thanks for any information,
Yuval

I rented one two weeks ago for a week. Fairly comfortable but thing rattled and squeaked so much I thought it would fall apart! So I didn't take it into Washington-Slaagbai. Also the gas gauge was not functioning properly which led to a lot of "fun" over gas charges upon vehicle return. But it did the job and overall rate was favorable. AC was fine but I just drove with windows open since it was sort of a gas hog.

We rented from AB last January and they were out of the dive mobile trucks, so we ended up with a Landwind for a day. We were definitely not impressed. Upon returning home we did some research..will not get into this vehicle again.

The results of the German ADAC test which is comparable to European NCAP safety standards in areas of passanger cabin protection was ZERO out of 5. It was so bad that even airbags were deemed useless. The passenger cabin completely collapsed on collision.

I'm one of the lucky ones who visit Bonaire each year. Always renting from AB Carrental, last 2 years we did rent a SUV Landwind. No problem at all, comfortable car, good air conditioned. And yes Yuval, we did the whole island! There is a tankrack at the back, so very convenient for our tanks. And we always have to visit the National Park up north..Wayaka # II, one of our most favorite spots on the island!! No problem getting there with the SUV Landwind.
Kim, I think it's hard to translate the results of Europe for Bonaire. Over here the maximum speed is 60 km/hour and no high ways, so I think standards for Europe are a bit different for Bonaire...of course safety has to be guaranteed!
