One of the car rental agencies we have checked on have a rule that you can't drive their car's into the state park because it's not paved. Are all the agencies like that?

Nancy, most cars don't have enough clearence to travel in the park. Pick up trucks do, or 4wheel drive jeep is OK. If you have a problem with your car in the park it could be many hours before you get help. Make sure you have a cell phone, and by all means ENJOY THE PARK!!!

Tell the car rental that you want to go into the park, sometimes they will make a deal for the day and exchange a car for a truck for the day(s) if they know in advance.

Total Rental makes the renter responsible for any and all tire damage, to include a flat tire. Also, check your spare before you leave the Airport, Total has given us a truck with a flat spare.
