Can you guys tell me where I can find the best beaches on the island? My girl wants to spend at least a half day at a nice white sand beach while I snorkel. Does this exist? Thanks

Kevin..My favorite is the beach at Harbour Village but believe you have to be a patron in order to access it. If you're staying there you'll have no problem.
Alternatively, Donkey beach across from the airport is open to all. Another nice spot is by the windsurf place on the east side also open to the public.

Kevin, North Belnem is also nice (I think it's another name now so can't remember). Eden Beach, Playa Cha Cha (just North of Divi).

The Windsurf Place has a nice beach but no snorkeling there as it's a windsurfing place...however, Vince may know some place near that is good for snorkeling...I've never ventured North or South over there.

Another option is to take the Sea Cow (water taxi) to Klein for a morning or afternoon, LOTS of sandy beaches over there:-)

Have fun!

Ya, go to Klein. Uninhabited, good snorkeling, nice beaches. Will probably need to pack a lunch and some water though.

My favorites : Wayaca beach (Washington National Park)2) Sorobon (be careful with the windsurfers) 3)No name Beach (Klein Bonaire)
And long time ago (before the Hurricane destroyed the beach) PINK BEACH......enjoy the beach

bonaire is NOT known for beaches ... Klien is great .. but that is about it ... white sand? Aruba is that .. vast beautiful beaches//. a lounge in the sun by a pool is more like it here .. if great beaches are a priority .. bonaire is probably not your destination of choice ...i work in tourism .. don't be disappointed in bonaire for what we are not .. what bonaire is a great limestone reef with great diving ..

The old Sunset Beach property (will be the new Divi) at the traffic circle has a bit of sand, and very good snorkelling, so that may be an option. While Pink Beach has no sand, and usually too rough to snorkel, it is still a nice experience to relax by the palm trees. You will want some shade where you go. The sun is HOT.

Playa Chikitu Lying in Washington National Park, Playa Chikutu is beautiful, but, alas, swimming is forbidden due to the enormous waves and the dangers that lurk underwater. You would be swept off your feet right after you walked in due to a strong current that passes the island on the north coast

all visitors at playa chikitu should read the memorial plaque there before they think of even going near the surf.
