Thanks Lorraine,

I and my family have never scuba dive. I snorked twice (in Los Roques and Cancun).
We have thinking to rent a car, do you think it is a good idea?
By the way, I made a mistake, I mean ADVICE. Well English is not my first language, I'm from Venezuela.

Snorkeling right off the beach at your hotel is so easy and lots of fish to see, no need to go far out to see some.Maybe you'll catch the diving bug, great place to learn. I would suggest a car at least for a day to see some of Bonaire. I'm sure your hotel can arrange it for you or your agent or take some suggestions from here.Read back trip reports for idea's. Have fun!

Snorkel off the beach, I'd rent a car for at least a day or two to drive up and down the coast snorkelling at different shore sites. Try a snorkel from a boat on Klein Bonaire (the island),book an excursion I would suggest a night snorkel (we booked at Plaza Resort but I am sure it is all over the island) which was FABULOUS! Eat dinner downtown at the great restaurants, and enjoy!

Can anyone help me? My father and his wife have a trip to bonaire planned for the end of the month. My father dives and does underwater photography. As it turns out, his wife cannot go with him and he has asked me to join him. Normally I would jump to it because I dive too, but I'm pregnant and will not be diving. Is there anything else for me to do there?? We will be there 6 nights.
Thank you!

Julie snorkeling is always an option, windsurfing, trekking, sailing and biking. I am an avid diver and if I could not dive I don't think I could stand to be on Bonaire, it would be way too painful. The 24 hour wait before flying is agony enough.
