Last year my husband and some friends went horsebackridding at Kanuku Warahama It's toward Lac Bay. My fiend Marion runs it and we had a great time. The horses were gentle, I had not rode in awhile, and the trail was fun. Up on a horse you feel the tradewinds and you get to see the "natural" Bonaire that way.We took a trail to Lac Bay past the flamingos and mangroves, but you cann't on a Sun. because of the "party" at lac. (Another story)
The guild was very competent too.
We wore tee shirts and shorts with sandles or sneakers. I brought cotton leggings with me,also avail. at the eastern store outside of town, but my friends were fine with shorts also a cap or a hat is a must, so you don't fry your head and of course, sunscreen.
You can ride western or english saddles (I believe). We had so much fun! It was a great way to see the bonaire country side.
We went in the morning but I think they have evening trail rides too.
I will get back with a phone #.
