I was wondering if Hertz is really available in Bonaire.

I've heard some commments reagrding other major car rental companies such as Budget and Avis, but nothing at all on Hertz.

Any positive recommendations to go for Hertz in order to avoid "local" companies?

Julio, the big names, Hertz, Budget, Avis, are really local companies that have leased the name from the Major companies. You pay a little more for the "name", the service is the same as the local companies. I used Budget with success, and will use ABRental on my next trip.

You will find the Franchise Companmies very competitve. You will also be able to earn your frequent flier miles and get corporate discounts if they apply. However, all the local companies are just as reliable. It boils down to a matter of choice.
