Hi - I'll be visiting on a cruise in February and want to visit Klein Bonaire.
Is there a public water taxi that runs from the pier to Klein Bonaire? If so, how often does it run and how much does it cost?
THANKS!

Good for you for getting off the beaten path a little!

Here's a site that will give you some snorkeling info:
http://www.infobonaire.com/snorkeling.html

There is a taxi, the Baka di Laman "Sea Cow", that leaves from the end of the pier Karel's Beach Bar is on (Karel's is worth a stop in itself). I think most ships can arrange a trip with them. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong.

I got lots of hits on the taxi by just googling "water taxi Bonaire", so you might try that.

Klein has lovely snorkeling, but NO shade and NO fresh water, so be sure to bring enough of both. It's HOT on Bonaire.

I'm sure there are other options for getting to Klein...this is just what I know. I've been on more than one dive boat that had snorkeling passengers off the cruise boats, too, so you could always get a nice boat ride and some snorkeling that way.

Henk runs his water taxi like clockwork from the jetty outside it rains fishes.

It leaves at: 10.00am - 12.00pm - 2.00pm

Returns at: 12.30pm - 2.30pm - 4.00pm

These times are Monday to Saturday, Sunday times are different.

When I was talking with Henk's brother last week (while going over to Klein), he told me that they already work with the cruise lines and are usually booked up. So I would either 1) Make a reservation well in advance, or 2) Check with your cruiselines activities desk for a reservation. Cost is $15.00 per person. Phone for the Kantika di Amor is +599-786-5399. The Kantika di Amor is also handicap accessible.
