Has anyone used Bencho before? Do all rental companies in BON have the $500 plus deposit for a car rental? I have never had to do this before, we usually just have to give them a credit card number but they don't charge on it unless there is a problem.

We have used Bencho on our last two trips and have been very happy with their service. Once they delivered our truck to our rental apartment and once they met us at the airport at 4:30am. Each time it was up to us as to which was most convenient. On this past trip our truck needed some service and they took care of it right away and offered us another vehicle for the time if we had wanted it. They are very friendly people. I am not sure what you mean about the deposit as we have never given Bencho more than our credit card for the actual rental cost.

Bencho offers great trucks and service for diving. I have used them twice this year and plan on using them again in November.

I am not sure about the $500 plus deposit for a car rental. All I have ever done is given them my credit card. Maybe I was just clueless about how the deposit was charged. My CC statement never showed more $$ charged than what was quoted for the rental period.

I think Bencho (Rene' and Natasha) has hired a new employee in the past few months to take care of car reservations for them.

No, different company. Island Rentals has a place at the airport. Bencho is not at the airport but will meet you there.

Since Bencho is not located at the airport, what happens at the end of the trip when you return the vehicle? Do they take you back to the airport?

Chris, when you are leaving Bonaire someone from Bencho will meet you at the airport. You park the truck in the main airport lot and then go ahead with your check in. Someone will meet you before you go through security.

I must also say that Bencho was the one and only car rental that I know of to step up for the Wounded Warriors as well. I shall only use them from now on for what they did. Good on you Bencho!!!
