I'm an expert class mountain biker heading to Bonaire for a little freediving. However, I heard there are a few places that might be worth my while to ride. Is this so? Hills, single track, technical terrain maybe? What about bringing one of my bikes? Has anyone done this?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Alex, there are extensive off/back roads for you to enjoy. Most of them branch off the main roads and criss-cross the island in an uphill-downhill pattern. I have driven a number of them in 2-wheel drive pickups so you can envision the skill level. As for single track and tech, unless created since my last visit, they do not exist. What you have is kilometers of cactus lined dirt and sand goat paths, strewn with rocks of varied sizes. When it rains the dirt becomes a really nasty viscous mud that can make walking a chore. I will readily bow to someone with more expertise in this field, but if I had a "world class" dirt bike I would not bring it to Bonaire. I would say Bonaire is more set up for day trekking.

They would also be able to answer what kind of equipment is available for rental and repairs. That's because all I know about bikes, I learned when I was 12 years old and ooooh... got a three speed.

The folks at Discover Bonaire (Cycle Bonaire) are the ones that work on the monthly races. I think they are still the only ones that have arranged to having cycling inside Washington Park. The park is not normally accessible for people entering without four wheel transportation. Their bike trips have van/truck backup.
