Will be renting 3-4 trucks for a group. Anyone with recommendations on a rental company?

I have had very friendly efficient service, and good vehicles from locally owned Everts for many years. No connection to them other than satisfied customer.

Try Island Carrental, not too big fleet, not really brandnew cars, but personal, friendly service, and cheap.

Have used Island Rentals and Hertz, both with good results. If you are a Hertz Gold member you can get really good rates. We rented for 10 days in April for less than $200.00 U.S.

We are frequent visitors to Bonaire and always rent from Everts. On our last trip (#27), our Carryvan got stuck in the sand and Everts towed us out at no charge. Great service! Corky & Sy Halberg

You guys are great. I just started looking for a car/truck rental place and here the answer already is. Have heard we should rent a truck instead of a car. Hubby will love that. "Lives" in his truck at home. Thanks.

I contacted Island Rentals & was told it was MANDATORY that I purchase their CDW coverage.. This dramatically increases the cost of the rental & in fact subsidizes their costs in doing business which I refused to do. I do not need the CDW coverage since I have the Premium Car Rental protection with AMEX. So why would anyone want to pay for coverage they don't need & which is EXTREMELY expensive to boot? Just my opinion.

Reduction of potential hassle factor is the only thing I can think of. Although not mandatory, I'm taking the full insurance package with AB Car Rental. The $$$ for me are a hedge against a vacation that adds stress rather than reduces it. The value of a minimum stress potential vacation to me is extremely high. Just my situation.

FWIW, the Full Insurance at AB Car Rental is about the same cost as CDW only at Island, for a comparable vehicle in my case. That's where cost vs. value really comes into play for me, and why I took the route I did.

I'm a happy AB customer, three trips and counting. I use my AMEX and waive the insurance. I have had no issues with AB and they have always been very friendly and courteous. I was going to switch to Hertz last trip because I had a free car rental (AMEX rewards), but the Hertz on Bonaire would not honor it. I went back to AB and got a great deal.

Whoops, slipped up on my comparison. Should be AB vs. Total. No comparable vehicle at Island.

I don't use AMEX, but even if I did, I'm the kind of guy who gets the service agent from the pit whenever there's a problem (and I don't buy lottery tickets) - I just would never have made it on looks or luck, so I just have to compensate differently.

We had zero problems with AB last trip (once the promotional offer was sorted out at the counter - I always print the web pages and take with me), one reason we're returning customers this trip.
