Hey all,
Just two more weeks before we are back on Bonaire
Just a short one: We have visited Bonaire before in November and in May...
During the November visit the mosquitos transformed me into a cullender, during the May visit it wasn't half that bad but I was still looking like a pin cushion after a few years of heavy duty..

Anyone that can give me an update as to the level of mini-MIGS around the island at the moment?

Much appreciated!

Michael

Michael,
We've just returned.....

We didn't experience as many mosquitos as in previous March/April trips. I did have several bites in the evenings when I didn't use the repellant. We use Avon's Skin So Soft Bug Guard and it works great. I'm a magnet for those critters. We also didn't have to spray our cottage as often....I think three times in 23 days! Enjoy!

Thanx Linda...
We'll take repellant and try to stay underwater most of the time....:-D

Grtz,

Michael

April 1-8. The mosquitos were non existent compared to our late Nov visit.
I only used repellent in the evening when we went to dinner and I had about 10 bites for the week. No problem at the house we rented even with the doors and windows wide open, I just got a few with the fly swatter.
I have to recommend the Benadryl Itch Relief Stick, I dab bites as soon as I notice the red spot and 9 of 10 never become swollen or itchy. I inspect myself every eve, dab all spots then spray repellent. Benadryl blocks the itch reaction before it starts. It works well if you've already started itching but it is so much better if it doesn't start!
