I've read about Eden Beach and been on their website but I haven't been able to locate it on a map. Where is it in relation to one of the better known dive sites (so that i can locate it on ShoreDiving.com's map)

Ed the closest on that site is #21 Bari Reef, although Eden Beach is a little south of there. To get to Eden Beach turn right just past the Lighthouse Beach Resort and before the traffic circle, while driving north.

So, Eden Beach is north of the town pier?

A small note, the Lighthouse Beach Resort is South of town past Belnem. The "Lighthouse Restaurant" is just South of the traffic circle and Eden Beach:-)

Cecil
Also, I think you mean LEFT just past the Lighthouse restaurant.

The Lighthouse Restaurant closed around a year ago. Sue and Wil reopened in town as Wil's Grill.
A bar has opened in the space in the LIghthouse. Morgan's or something like that.

Tish
I was actually going to mention that, but figured things were complicated enough already. Unfortunately that location does not seem have a great success rate.

Well let's see, I was 0-2, wrong direction and resort, other than that I was correct.

We all love you, Cecil!!
Mick, I think Lighthouse did okay, but Sue and Wil have a better location now and tend to be packed even at mid week.
Don't know anything about the new place, including its actual name. I just gave something roughly like it.

How far is it from sand dollar - is Bari reef within diving distance?

seeing one arial photo looks like it might be up against harbour village is that correct?

Russ, essentially, Bari reef is within walking distance. Moving North, there is Eden Beach, a dirt lot where Sunset Beach Hotel used to be, the Den Lamen condos (small condo complex), then the Sand$ dock which puts you on Bari reef. I'm not good with distances, but maybe an quarter of a mile?

Harbor Villiage is South of Eden Beach, the other direction.

I thought you said "driving distance" Russ...lol! You could dive to bari, but the current is usually running North to South and can be quite strong. You would be going into the current heading to Bari. The farthest North I've managed to get from Eden is to where that big huge mooring block is (well before Bari)

There are secret agent notes under a rock under the sign that says Eden Beach...not sure if that helps
