Just returned from a fabulous week of diving and dining in Bonaire. This is the second trip for my husband and me, and we had 3 dinners and 1 lunch at the Lions Den. The food was exceptional and reasonable priced.

It's owned an operated by an English Chef, Kirk. He a very pleasant 'bloke' and keeps the kitchen hopping! The view is breath taking, overlooking the water. Sunset is about 7 pm this time of year--don't miss it. Kirk offers excellent seafood, beef, chicken as well as at least vegetarian entrees each night. The sweet potato side and key lime pie are to die for!

It's located between Buddy Dive and Capt. Don's Habitat.

The location is at Lions Dive and I just had lunch therew. It was almost like the old Green Parott, except no Sara. Of course they had my favorite, Curly Fries.

We stayed at Lion's Dive in April, and ate there for dinner twice and for breakfast once. It was wonderful, especially the seafood mixed grill we had on our first night in Bonaire. And we had that corner table facing the sunset-what a debut!

since kirk worked at the green parrot a lot of the same dishes are at the lions den. even if they aren't on the menu, he can make them anyway.
(they had a sunday with coconut at the green parrot and while it is not listed..we had it anyway). while not the green parrot, still a good place to go.

Kudos to Kirk and the staff at Lion's Den. After making an extensive list of restaurants we wanted to try during our 2 week stay, we ended up eating mainly at the Lion's Den. The food is terrific (great specials, burgers, and coconut shrimp) and the the staff very friendly and humorous! Best of all you can watch the tarpon and the resident 3 snook cruise the shallows from the resturant. They faithfully showed up at about 5pm every evening and provided us with much entertainment. If you are a tarpon fan a great place to snorkel with them is the stretch between the docks at Buddy Dive and Captain Don's Habitat. They are there every night. Both the snook and tarpon are completely keyed into dive lights and will follow them in search of fish. Plus there is a beautiful 5 ft green moray that likes to hang out under a large rock (shallow enough for snorkelers) just south of the pier at Captain Don's.

We just returned and ate at Lions Den for our last night. It was wonderful, the kids loved looking down and seeing the fish directly below while we ate. My son loved his grilled fish. It was so nice that they had a childs menu, most places we visited didn't. My husband loved this mixed fish grill. My chicken was a bit spicey, but well prepared. I was so excited that I had finally found a chocolate desert I could hardly finish my meal. Unfortunately, it was a very small "cake", but it still tasted good. Oh, and don't go on a Thursday, because they could be closed. I had convinced everyone to go, only to get there and see the "closed" sign. Only my family went back the next night.
