Could someone please provide the address for the Swiss Chalet and It's Raining Fishes. Plus, are there any good roadside stands to grab a quick lunch? Does Bonaire have those little fried things called Bami or Nasi? I think they are indonesian? I remember in Aruba they have these little fried snacks, as well as in Netherlands. Are there any recommended Indonesian restaurants in Bonaire?

Thanks for the help.

It's Raining Fishes is located on Kaya Craane, J.N.E. across the street from the waterfront (north of Karel's) and next to Club Nautico. Great food! The Swiss Chalet wasn't open in March when we were there, but I understand it isn't far from Telbo. I'm sure Jake can give you directions. Can I also recommend Capriccio's (again on the waterfront) just north of City Cafe. It's excellent. Carol Collins.

Sorry. I meant to tell you about Maikey's Snack also. Follow Nikiboko South past La Portuguesa and the ball field until you see a green flag on a pole on the left. Follow the flags. There's the Mobile Grill also. You can find it under the shade tree near Cultimara. Neither are fancy, but you can get good Bonairean food and lots of it at either place. Carol Collins.

The Swiss Chalet is where the old Super Corner used to be for those familiar with the area. On Kaya Lib. S. Bolivar (#21) head inland. Telbo will be on your right. The Swiss Chalet will be in the next block on the left across from the TCB building.

Bami and Nasi are a basic food group on Bonaire. And don't forget the wonderful spicy peanut sauce or the sambal. Lots of other Indonesian influences via Surinamese as well, several restaurants offer Rijs Tafels (my spelling is off) . You will find Bami and/or Nasi on most every "local" menu. My favorite supplier (and family friend) of Bami is the Mobile Grill parked near Cultimare and the hospital for breakfast and lunch only.

And yes, we have all the fried snacks too.
