We were in Bonaire last weeek. I only got to try about half the restaurants on my wish list, we really didn't have a bad meal anywhere.

I thought I'd put in a plug for a restaurant I don't see mentioned much. If you want to try something different from the in-town and hotel restaurants, head down the road toward Sorbon and stop in at the Kon Tiki. We had a superb lunch and dessert out in the country with a view of Lac Bay. And it was served by a woman with the most beautiful blue eyes I've ever seen...

Are you sure you don't mean _Miriam's_ blue eyes? (She'd get a kick out of reading this thread, I'm sure :-) ).

I have to add, don't forget Martin's (please let me have spelled that right!) charming conversation and hosting abilities! They are a delightful couple with a fantastic restaurant. If you are traveling to Bonaire in the near future, don't miss going to Kon Tiki. It is worth the trip and after you eat there you will agree that it really isn't THAT far!

Get the catch of the day....a large portion of fresh fish(dorado, wahu)wrapped in bacon, pan broiled to perfection, atop a pile of fluffy mashed potatoes with a light creamy onion/leek sauce. Oh my gosh! It was outstanding! So are the crab cakes with dill mayo sauce! Yum! There is a desert of a little of everything that is wonderful too. Don't miss the after dinner coffee drinks too. If you plan to go out to the casinos after dinner, it helps!
