I've started to pickup information about which restaurants are offering specials menus for the holidays coming up.

I believe every hotel restaurant will be open on those days. Not sure about the non-resort restaurants though. Christmas Eve really isn't a recognized "semi-holiday" here like it is in the US. We celebrate what we call the first day of Christmas (12/25) and the second day of Christmas (12/26). Those are both legal holidays, with banks, shops closed, etc. Except this year, I think most downtown shops will be open on Dec 26 because the QE2 will be making her only Bonaire port of call that day. Mango's will be open every day during the holidays-that I know for sure.

Thanks Ruth for your response. I only wish I was going to be on Bonaire for Thanksgiving. The menu for that day looks great! Maybe in 4 more years when Kathi and I retire. Will you be having any kind of special fare for Christmas 1 or 2?

No problem James!--For Christmas we'll have the usual American favorites, like turkey, ham, etc, as well as special local Christmas dishes. I'll keep everyone posted!
