I was in Bonaire from Sep 14 to Sep 29. Although we did have a kitchen and ate in for most breakfasts and lunches, we did eat out at a few places:

De Tuin:
We ate here on the first night we arrived. We were starving and got there just before 10 and the kitchen closing. We had a fantastic meal here. I had the ribs and my wife had the tenderloin. Both were awesome. There service was absolutely great. We had a younger waiter that chatted with us for a long time and was extremely friendly. We liked this place so much we went back about 11 days later. The second meal was also fantastic, as was the service. The waiter we had the first time was in the bar having a drink, and he came over and chatted with us when he saw us. Its so great to see such friendly nice people. Great way to start off our time in Bonaire. Reasonably priced as well

Capriccio
We went here on our last night on Bonaire based on all the reviews that we saw here. The service was good. However, I was very much disappointed with the food. The bread was cold, and even a bit dry. The pasta was bland. I found this place to be extremely over priced for what you got. That being said, my wife liked her pasta more than I did mine, although she wasn't overly impressed either. Would not go again.

Chibi Chibi
We had a very good dinner here. We sat overlooking the water, and it was really nice seeing the sun go down. The food was good, and we had a very nice, very friendly waiter. Everything was good, and I would go there again.

RumRunners
We again sat overlooking the water. It was nice watching 3-4 large tarpon circling below. The service here was not as good as the previously mentioned 3 resteraunts. After getting our meal, the waiter didn't come back once to refill our drinks. I got frustrated waiting for another beer, and finally just walked up and asked for a couple of waters. The food was ok, although after eating the ribs at De Tuin I was a little bit dissappointed. I would proabbably go here again, although I'd order a burger.

Casa Bon Pizza
We had some great pizza from here. It was really really good. We chatted with the bartender for a while waiting the pizza - he was an American who was very friendly as are so many people here.

Bongos Beach
We had a good meal here. The food was really good. There was only one waitress, so service was a bit slow, but we had not problems with it. She was very friendy, just had a little bit too much to do.

Subway
Why did we eat here? I have no idea. It was overpriced, and I wish we'd gone elsehere. We would not go here again.

Overall the dining was great. My only pet peeve is the service charge that is sometimes added to bills. That is such a scam. Either add the charge in the items, or leave the tip up to the customer. I found that I tipped less in places that added the service charge than those that didn't. Tip is supposed to be based on the quality of service, and shouldn't be a mandatory charge.

I forgot -

Maiky Snack
We went there with Bas for lunch. The food here was really good. My wife and I had the chicken stew and Bas had the goat. Bas kept looking at the baby goats running around and licking his lips wondering if he was going to get to eat that one. Got to try the friend banana and that yellow cornmeal type of stuff. Good thing Bas was with us, as the lady only spoke papamiento.

Maiky Snack! Definitely gets my vote too! She has very very good chicken. Mmmm Mmmm Mmmm! Does anybody know what could be the recipe (or close) to that great sauce that is on the fish and chicken?
Darryl, where is Bongos Beach and what kind of food do they serve?
Only 16 more days!!! Yea!

Bongo's Beach is in the Eden Beach resort. It serves a variety of food including things like burgers. On the weekends its one of the most (will very few :)) happening places on the island. Bongo's bar would probably be a more accurate name for it.
