Just had and incredible meal prepared by Karl. My first time at the new location (across from Karols) and everything was phenomenal!! Pam at the bar was a perfect hostess and the food was fantastic. I tried a new dish (for me) and was outstanding. If you're down here now or are planing on it, you have to make this one of your stops. You won't regret it.

Sounds great! What used to be in that spot?

Paradise Moon is where Coco's used to be-between Zeezicht & Little Havana/La Guernica, diagonally across from Karel's Beach Bar.

Ok I know where that is but thought it was a Kriole Corner or something. Nice outdoor space.... is that it?

Yup-outdoors w/palm trees, right across from water. Forgot about the local food restaurant it was for a little while (it was Coco's longer).

I do really like that location and lovely little garden on the water. Handy to Havana for a little late night activity. I know Paradise Moon is a favorite of yours , yes Ruth? Good HH? I predict very good things for PM in this location. Cant wait to try it. Working on accommodations and the logistics for my 15th (or16th?) visit. We should try to meet sometime at the PM......

Robin -

That's correct, they are closed on Saturday night. They are open the other six nights of the week. The Bar opens at 5pm, the kitchen is open at 6pm. Don't miss the "Ex-Pat Happy Hour" on Friday nights which can be a lot of fun.

I recommend the walking sticks, pork tacos, fish tacos, seven-layer dip, stacked steak, ribs, .......................

In fact, I'll be having dinner there tonight. YUM!

Just out of curiosity can anybody explain closing on Saturday night? It seems to me that would be a busy night.

It tends to be the turnover day--a lot of folks coming & going, and generally they don't wander far from their hotels. Mona Lisa & Cactus Blue are also closed Sat.

Mickey -
I am also pretty sure that all three owners (Mona Lisa, Paradise Moon and Cactus Blue) all have school age kids, so being closed on Saturday gives them some good family time as well.
And Ruth is right, which I hate to admit, Saturday is generally a turn over day for a lot of tourists which makes it easier to be closed on a Saturday night.
Let us know how like the restaurants you decide to visit.
